Aerial Filming for

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here

The award winning series I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here returned to our screens at Gwrych Castle near Abergele for a second time in 2021, we were thrilled to be involved in one of the biggest TV events of the year.

The previous series saw a massive 11.7m viewers watch us fly in the celebrities in five helicopters for the opening episode. For the 2021 series we didn’t only film the arrival of the celebrities. This time Ant and Dec also got in on the action with a flight in their very own helicopter.

Before the show aired, the public had the chance to vote for who was going to take part in the first challenge. Six celebrities were chosen and then split into two teams of six.

Each team was then treated to one of our AS355’s, either OLCP or VGMC aircrafts. Both aircrafts feature complementary paint schemes, making them perfect as matching picture ships for productions. The celebrities were then dropped off at the sites of their first challenge. And like in 2020, it was a test of how they deal with heights.

Ant and Dec, were provided with VIP treatment and flown in by our AW109SP luxury helicopter. They looked right at home in their leather seats, in sharp contrast to the conditions the celebrities were about to endure for the next three weeks.

Providing the aerial filming for the celebrities arrival, and for Ant and Dec’s travels, was another of our twin squirrels. Mounted with our GSS C516, we filmed air-to-air as the celebs were flown to their different destinations.
