GB Helicopters is one of the largest onshore helicopter companies offering a complete range of services, with specialist focus on aerial filming and continued support of productions. In the last twelve months alone, we have carried out all the aerial work in the UK for Transformers 5 and supplied helicopters and crew for the filming of Dunkirk. As well as major productions such as these, we regularly film for documentaries, dramas and sporting events across the UK and Ireland.

The support of Transformers had us not only supplying filming assets, but also aerial work including lifting equipment and personnel into hostile areas. Saving the production huge amounts of time by delivering equipment and crew to set in minutes rather than hours.

The aircraft we own and operate are also the latest generation, leading to improved performance. This allows us to have greater endurance whilst filming and perform greater degrees of stunt flying; such as helicopter rappelling and flying loads into built up areas. Our own Air Operators Certificate and long term relationship with the UK CAA allows us to achieve filming permissions that few others have ever been able to achieve.

Multiple camera systems are available to suit your aerial filming requirements. From cinematic aerial filming, through to live broadcast we have a vast array of experience and training to fulfil your requirements. Whether you are looking for a full filming service or to hire an aerial system individually, we have the flexibility to accommodate your filming needs.

The C516 is part of the proven cinematic aerial filming series from GSS. Configured with high-end sensors and payload options to suit your production requirements. Our system includes the industry leading Red Epic Dragon or Alexa Mini; both renown for their unprecedented UHD quality and supported with speedy 30 minute interchangeable Canon lenses. The 50-1000mm cine lens and the 30-300mm.

Our C516 from GSS has been configured to support further payloads making it adaptable to any production requirements. Most suitable for broadcast filming is the integration of the Sony P1 and Fujinon 42 x 9.7. With a lightweight gimbal structure it has little impact on the aircraft’s endurance, speedy rigging and quick media card changes also makes the aerial system highly recommended for live broadcast work and fast paced productions.

The shotover series boast platforms with endless capabilities. Constructed with impressive 6-axis gyro stabilization, the system delivers unparalleled steadiness and smooth 360-degree rotation. Electrical and optical rotary joints enables continuous pan as well as look down capabilities. This level of flexibility, scope and agility performance is unsurpassed in the aerial system industry.

The system series supports most high-end sensors and payloads, including fitting payloads up to 760mm in length. Made from low weight carbon fibre structure for cost effective shipping, the system is a multifunctional platform for any form of aerial work, cinematic aerial filming or task.
